McGillivary maintained on his Facebook wall that the man's murder was the result of him waking up after being possibly drugged in his home and sexually assaulted. On Tuesday, May 14, police say the body of Joseph Galfy Jr was found in his Clark, New Jersey home after bludgeoned to death.
Late last week Caleb McGillivary was arrested in Philadelphia after his brief manhunt following the alleged murder of a 73-year-old New Jersey attorney. 'But my children, they love their brother, and they’re shocked at what has happened.' 'I believe that Caleb didn’t like the fact that I remarried, that I didn’t rescue him from the treatment home, that I have three kids from my present wife,' he told NJ.com. Mr McGillivary said he last saw his son in December of 2010 when he showed up at his home to spend Christmas with him and his family. Mr McGillivary has been especially vocal in his support of his son. If he calls and wants our help, we’re there for him.' There have been some attempts, but we have no way of contacting him. 'He has a family that misses him,' she told NJ.com. She says she wept when she first watched his famed interview and hearing him say he doesn't have family, especially ones who care about him. She disputes claims by his father that he has attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and says she last spoke with Caleb when he was living in Canada only last fall. His mother says Caleb graduated from high school and took college classes.
He says he consequently lost custody of his son. Mr McGillivary says that he and Caleb's mother, Shirley, divorced when he was 4-years old. 'Caleb made accusations that he was physically and mentally abused at one of the homes. 'He was in treatment homes until he turned 18 and then they cut him loose and washed their hands of him,' this father said.
